WordSmith Tools Help

The settings are found in the main Controller.

Computing concgrams

The minimum and maximum settings at the top have to do with the processing as you carry out the two builds when generating concgrams. If you have a lot of data it is best to set a high minimum frequency. The max. frequency percent lets you disregard high-frequency grammar words. A setting of 1.0 means all words whose frequency is 1.0 or higher such as THE, OF, TO, AND, A in the word list display would be ignored.

Filter and copy settings

The filtering settings and required words let you require a number of statistical tests after you have your concgrams computed. These are the same as you choose when computing relationships based on a WordList Index.

Clipboard and copy settings are used when exporting data.
