WordSmith Tools Help

What can be edited?

WordSmith allows basic editing of data when appropriate. But some of the data is calculated using other data and therefore cannot be edited. For example, frequency percentage data is based on a word's frequency and the total number of running words. You can edit the word frequency but not the word frequency percentage.

Edit mode

In most tools under Settings, you'll find three different effects that pressing a keyboard key can have.

key_press_mode_menu_options

ofind-by-typing jumps to a word you type

oset categories lets you label entries

oedit data lets you change what is in your lists

The currently selected one is also visible in the status-bar.

To choose to edit you need to select editing data.
