The point of it

 

The aim is to filter your corpus by moving elsewhere any texts which are outside the desired range.

 

How to do it

 

 

Enter a minimum word count and a maximum word count. Press Start.

 

Here we got a list of 81 texts which are below the 2,000 token limit. The 480-text sample ranged from 1,445 to 14,983 tokens in size.

 

If you wish to move them, press Move. Each of those which are too small (or too big) will be moved to a sub-folder of where it was. The name of that sub-folder here would be X:\text\filtering_example\moved-size. And each text would be renamed so its file-name ends .moved-size.

 

If you want to Restore them another day, press Save to save the list first.

 

You can see a text file by selecting it and pressing Show text.
